Group Fitness Classes

Our fitness studio has a look and feel unlike any health club you have been to before. You may find yourself just wanting a moment to gaze outside the studio window at the ever-changing, but glorious Bay view. It is the most spectacular studio in the East Bay and seeing is believing.

The fitness program at OHTC offers multiple classes that will help you to achieve YOUR goals. Our classes include well-known classes like Yoga, Pilates, and Aqua as well as new contemporary workouts like Piloxing and TRX. All our instructors hold nationally recognized certifications and will be happy to take you on an adventure that is called group fitness exercise.

Attending a group fitness class gets you up off the couch and out of the same four walls of your home to meet people in your community. You are likely to have more fun exercising in a group than working out in your own. Fitness classes are a wonderful place to meet people who have similar lifestyle goals and needs. Make friends, have adult conversations and discover solutions to problems as you talk with other participants before and after class.

So throw on some sweats, grab a bottle of water and your car keys and head on to OHTC! We can't wait to see YOU!

Aqua:Thisresistance/strengthening class aimed at improving tone, strength and mobility. This form of exercise is particularly beneficial to anyone at risk from bodily stress, including the elderly, overweight, or those recovering from soft tissue injury.

Core Conditioning: Core conditioning goes far beyond sit-ups or crunches, and instead engages the muscles of the abs, both in the front and along the sides of the body, as well as the muscles around the shoulders, pelvis, and along the spinal column.

Core Cycling: Enjoy 2 popular formats in one: 45 minutes of cycling and 10 minutes of hard core work!

Cardio Mix:A complete body workout that includes a combination of high & low impact aerobics mixed with blocks of strength training.

Double Step: Double stepping at its best! Using the steps vertically, come and enjoy this advanced, yet easy to follow, double step workout. Mixing the basic patterns with advanced step choreography, you will learn the best ways to transition between the two steps while sweating and having fun!

Group Cycling: Indoor Group Cycling offers a great cardio workout and is done on stationary bikes to music.  All levels are welcome as intensity on bikes is adjustable. Bring a water bottle and towel to class.

Hip Hop: A super fun cardio workout that builds your bone density and gets your groove on! Format is 45 mins of warm-up, muscle strengthening, and cardio and then the last 15 minutes are spent learning a dance routine that builds week to week. Students who cannot commit to regular attendance to learn the dance are welcome to come just for the for the workout portion.

Pilates: Increase flexibility, body awareness, core strength, and lean muscles during this refreshing mind-body workout. Pilates focuses on breathing, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Pilates Fusion: Pilates Fusion is a Pilates based workout, which is focused on core strength, flexibility and total body conditioning, and fused with a perfect mix of cardio and body sculpting exercises designed to make you sweat! All levels are welcome!

Basic Circuit Training:  An ultimate calorie burner! Alternating segments of cardio, weights this class will give you an incredible workout. All levels are welcome!

Step Interval: Take a break from choreography and try this athletic challenge on the step. The interval format is easy and can be adapted for all fitness levels. Interval training is a great tool for re-energizing your body and increasing your fitness levels, and it fits in nicely with other popular “metabolic training” programs. Also, because of its intensity, this class combines well with other formats, such as weight training, core and Pilates.

Tai Chi:Blending of the natural breathing techniques with gentle, non-impact movements. Rejuvenate and relax.

TBC: Enjoy a total body workout utilizing cardio training, intervals, explosive power moves, and strength work.  

TRX®: Best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise - because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.

Yoga: Form of exercise that uses slow movements and stretching. Increase your strength, flexibility, and balance, relieve stress and relax.

Zumba®: The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away.
