Jeff Lee

It wasn't until my birth father passed away that I realized massage was "in my blood." I had fooled around with giving others massage my entire life, but my career had been spent as an IT tech. I like to call myself the "Mr. Fix(IT)" as I was the one who would be assigned to get the system back up and running when the computers crashed at night.

With the passing of my progenitor, however, I suddenly faced the knowledge that he had been a Master Shiatsu teacher. This passing of the Sensei occurred not long before I was laid off yet again from the IT field. I suddenly felt free to pursue what has always been--for me--a lifelong passion. It didn't hurt that my wife approved, and now, here I am, California certified, and on the road with a profession that speaks more clearly to who I am and what has always been in my blood. I hope to share that knowledge with you in a personal and direct way by helping to release the tension in your life.

Izumi Van Cleave

I received my massage training at McKinnon Institute in Oakland, CA and at National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, CA. I have been Nationally Certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork since 1995.

From 1995-1998, I worked as a volunteer massage therapist for people with AIDS, HIV Positive individuals and also for women with substance abuse.

I have working as a Massage Therapist at OHTC since the department opened on March 10, 1997.

Recently, I am doing more Myofacial Release work because I feel it is a more effective style of releasing muscular adhesions. My goal of each session is to help my client relax tension-not only muscular, but emotional tension as well. I usually incorporate relaxation-type work into the Myofacial Release session.

In my free time, I like listening and dancing to my favorite music. I also enjoy hiking, camping, and cross-country skiing.

My modalities include: Swedish, Nueromuscular Release, Swedish

Sarah Pedlow
Sarah Pedlow, CMT has been practicing bodywork since completing her 1,000 hour certification at the Finger Lakes School of Massage, Ithaca, NY, in 2005. An interest in alternative health and thinking about bodywork as a meditation led her to follow a path in the healing arts. Her work combines Swedish, Connective Tissue, Acupressure, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Reiki level II to assist the body’s natural healing process and return a sense of wholeness. She enjoys employing gentle to firm techniques to address injuries and patterns of holding. Clients have commented on her intuitive, deeply listening presence and healing hands. Sarah holds a BA in Studio Art and French Studies from Scripps College, Claremont, CA, and an MFA in Visual Arts from Rutgers University. In addition to practicing bodywork, she’s the Owner/Designer of ThreadWritten Textiles, modern bags made by women artisans in Transylvania, Romania. She views massage as an extension of her creative practice. She holds a CA state massage therapist license.
