Our fitness department has two separate all coed rooms with some of the most up-to-date equipment in the industry. Both rooms have a wonderful view of the Bay Area!

Main Fitness Room

Free Weight Room & Stretch Area
Olympic lifting bench, adjustable benches, barbells, dumbbells (ranging from 3-100 lbs), Bodymasters Smith Station, Bodymasters Seated Calf Raise, Life Fitness Pulley Station, Lat pulldown, Preacher Curl Bench, Exercise Balls, Balance Boards, Our spacious separate stretch area is mirrored and has a ballet bar.

Weight Room

Personal Trainers
Custom-designed private lessons are available to help you achieve your individual fitness goals. Our male and female personal trainers are ACE/ACSM Certified. IHRSA endorses & highly recommends these certifications. Our personal trainers are also CPR & First Aid Certified.

New Member Orientations

New members will receive a complimentary 60-minute orientation learning proper usage of equipment in our Main Fitness Room.

Teen Policy

Parental consent is mandatory for teens (minimum age 14 through age 18) in order to have a complimentary (by appointment) Certified Orientation and gain access to the fitness facility. A Certified Orientation will take place in the Main Fitness Room. Entrance to the Free-Weight room requires a paid Personal Training session at a separate appointment after the Certified Orientation. I have been with OHTC for 10 years and the past 2 years as Director of Fitness and Massage. I have over 17 years of experience as a Personal Trainer; with numerous certifications and specializations to my credit. My most focused specialization is in Exercise for People over 65. I also work with post-stroke rehabilitation, MS, and other degenerative diseases. I have developed exercise programs from teenagers to competitive athletes. To compliment my Personal Training, I am as a Certified Massage Therapist and offer a variety of modalities to enhance your well being.

 

 My Massage Modalities include: Vibrational, Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Cranial-Sacral. Foot Bone Rehabilitation. My modalities compliment a holistic approach towards healing and health management that combines body awareness and education with support and encouragement.

 

 I offer to you a Life Style Change which is defined as follows:

'A change in the mind and body with respect to balance and betterhealth; that enables a person to achieve greater energy, increased strength, postural awareness, weight reduction, muscle and joint flexibility;  and to just feel better about one's self.'

 Ilene Grossman
Certified Personal Trainer, National Academy of Sports Medicine

Ilene didn't begin a career in fitness until the age of 47, but has been a devoted exerciser her entire adult life. She even admits to still owning all her Jane Fonda tapes!  Ilene has received her personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has also studied about the best exercise programs for Osteopenia and Osteoporosis. She has completed her studies for a certification in Nutrition and Wellness.

Ilene believes that our bodies and our minds are all very different and deserve to be treated with personal attention and respect. She develops individualized fitness programs for each of her clients, based on their personal fitness level, goals, and needs. She incorporates aspects of cardiovascular activity, core work, strength training, flexibility, and balance into every program.

Her philosophy -"Any fitness level is a great place to start"!
