Kathy Toon, Tennis Director
Kathy Toon is the guru of mental focus and shot intention! She is the founder of GlamSlam Tennis and the GameFace System, a 4-step program that focuses on mental performance for athletes. Kathy’s articles on tennis team success are featured online in the Norcal USTA’s Competitive Edge Series. Kathy is a senior trainer for the internationally recognized Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), having conducted hundreds of workshops for thousands of coaches, athletes, and parents across the country. She worked for over 14 years for the University of California-Berkeley women’s tennis team (Division 1) and helped them achieve three NCAA championships. It was here where she helped create the GameFace System. Kathy is primary author of Get Your Game Face On! and Get Your Game Face On! Doubles. Kathy played Division 1 tennis at Pepperdine University and received a BA in Sports Psychology at San Diego State University.

Josh Bernstein, Head Pro
Josh grew up in Novato and graduated from San Marin High School and then graduated college from Pacific University Oregon with a Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing. He’s a Three time Marin County Athletic League first team all conference and 2012 Marin County Athletic League Most Valuable Player. Josh played tennis all fours years at Pacific with an overall record of 41-15 in singles and 43- 13 in doubles. While attending Pacific he was twice named Northwest Conference Student Athlete of the Week, twice named Northwest Conference second team all- conference, awarded Northwest Conference All Team Sportsmanship, and Pacific University Student Athlete of the Month of March. Josh is a USPTA certified, a local 5.0 player and avid pickleball player.

Nicole Havlicek, Teaching Pro
Nicole, originally from Ontario, Canada, moved to the United States on a full athletic scholarship at the University of California, Berkeley earning the titles of Co-Captain and MVP of the Women’s Tennis Varsity Team as well as a High Division I ITA National Ranking. (Yes, she played for me and Coach Brogan at Cal!) As a Golden Bear, Nicole represented the team in both singles and doubles on a team ranked #2 in the nation.

Skip Redondo, Teaching Pro
Skip is the oldest of nine children in the famous “Redondo Tennis Family”. The Redondo family was the number one tennis family in the 1970s. His sister, Marita reached the top 20 in the world. During his 10-year stint as the Head Coach of Men’s Tennis at San Diego State University, Skip earned the distinction of being the winningest coach in the program’s history. Skip has extensive experience and success as a tennis coach at all levels of the game including junior, collegiate and professional.
