President/General Manager’s Message
Dear Members,
Before we get into things, here’s your Dad Joke of the Month: I told my wife she should embrace her mistakes…She
gave me a hug.
On a more meaningful note, I’m very happy to share that our solar system was finally given permission to operate by PG&E on Monday, March 30th. This project has certainly been a long road. As many of you know, the original company working on the installation spent over three years on the job before ultimately going out of business just a few weeks ago. We brought in Sun Light & Power to help get things across the finish line, and they have been outstanding to work with. That said, they are uncovering a number of issues left behind by the previous contractor, which means there will be additional work—and costs—ahead. Nonetheless, it is a big milestone to have the system up and running and generating electricity for the club.
With the warmer weather starting to roll in, I also want to take a moment to gently remind everyone of a few pool policies that have been overlooked recently.
1.Hot Tub Age Requirement. No children under the age of 14 are permitted in the hot tub.
2.Aquafit Equipment. Noodles and water weights in the storage bins are reserved for Aquafit classes only. If you notice bins left unlocked and equipment being used improperly, please notify staff so we can address it.
3.Personal Speakers. Playing music through personal speakers in the pool area (or anywhere in the club) is not permitted, as it interferes with the enjoyment of other members.
This past weekend, OHTC hosted a CPR training session for staff. One of our team members suggested we share the location of our AED with all members, which is a great idea. An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable, life-saving device used to treat sudden cardiac arrest and is intended to be used alongside CPR.
Our AED is located:
In the main hallway
Just outside the front desk
Adjacent to the vending machine
Above the area where clean towels are typically stacked
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with its location—
you never know when that knowledge could make a difference.

Group Fitness
Yulia Wynn, Director
Dear Members,
A fresh season is the perfect time for a fresh approach to fitness!
Spring represents renewal, longer days, and new energy. It’s also a great reminder that our fitness routines can benefit from an occasional reset. If your workouts have started to feel repetitive or your motivation has dipped, April is the perfect time to refresh your routine and bring new energy to your workouts.
One simple way to reset is by trying something new. Stepping outside your usual routine—whether it’s joining a different
class, adding strength training, or incorporating yoga or mobility work—can challenge different muscle groups and make
exercise more engaging.
With warmer weather and more daylight, spring also offers great opportunities to move outdoors. A walk, light jog, or stretch in the fresh air can boost your mood and help you reconnect with the enjoyment of movement.
This is also a great time to revisit your fitness goals. Instead of focusing only on weight loss, for example, consider goals like improving strength, building endurance, increasing flexibility, or simply feeling more energetic throughout the day.
Remember, the most successful fitness routine is one that you enjoy and can maintain consistently. Sometimes a few small changes are all it takes to feel motivated again.
Let this spring be your reminder that every day is a new opportunity to move, feel stronger, and take care of your health.
Please contact Tish directly over her e-mail at letitia5blacksher@gmail.com to schedule an assisted therapy stretch session. How to access our ZOOM and HYBRID classes:
