President/General Manager’s Message
Dear Members:
Before we begin, please join me in congratulating David and Sue on an incredible milestone—25 years of running our snack bar. While many of you know them for their excellent food, they are truly just
wonderful people. They work tirelessly each season, from May through the end of September, to keep everyone well-fed and happy. Please take a moment this season to show them some extra appreciation.
While we’re fortunate to celebrate long-standing contributors like David and Sue, we’ve also been navigating some significant challenges behind the scenes.
We’ve done our best to keep you informed of the lengthy solar project, which ultimately culminated in the contractor’s bankruptcy in February. We are now managing the aftermath.
In addition to the bankruptcy, the quality of the workmanship proved to be substandard—in some cases, quite poor. You may have noticed leaks in the clubhouse, particularly in the group fitness studio. These issues stem from the solar roof installation and will require significant repairs.
This does mean that some planned projects will be delayed, including the tile replacement in the women’s adult bathroom and the resurfacing of the tennis courts. While the staining of the tiles is cosmetic, we understand it is unsightly, and our janitorial team has done everything possible to improve its appearance.
We appreciate your patience as we temporarily put this project on hold.
Other, less visible projects will also be impacted, as repairing the solar mounting system must take top priority. On a positive note, we have engaged Sun Light and Power (SLP) to complete the work. They have been excellent—quickly getting the system operational and now helping us correct the remaining issues.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
James W. Thompson
President

Dear Members,
As we move into May, it’s the perfect time to pause, reset, and reconnect with both your mind and body. This month, we’re
focusing on simple ways to feel better, move better, and reduce stress—inside and out.
May is also Mental Health Awareness Month, a reminder that taking care of your mental well-being is just as important as
staying physically active.
What is a Mind-Body Reset?
A reset doesn’t have to be extreme. It’s about small, consistent habits that help you feel more balanced, energized, and present in your daily life.
This Month, We Encourage You To:
• Move with intention – Focus on how your body feels, not just the workout itself.
• Breathe and slow down – Even a few minutes of deep breathing can reduce stress.
• Improve balance and posture – Strengthening these areas helps prevent injury and supports everyday movement.
• Stay consistent, not perfect – Showing up regularly matters more than doing everything “right.”
In Our Classes:
We will continue to focus on strength, flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. Our sessions are designed for all levels—whether you’re just getting back on track or maintaining your routine.
A Gentle Reminder:
Taking care of yourself is not a luxury—it’s essential. A few mindful moments each day can make a big difference in how you feel.
We look forward to moving with you this month!
